Live caricature drawing is entertainment and a party favor in one. Guests sit for a few minutes while the artist sketches an exaggerated, flattering portrait — and the crowd that gathers to watch is half the fun.
Caricatures Plus is led by Martin Tremblay, a Houston caricature artist with more than 40 years of artistic experience who has earned state and national art awards. For larger events, our team of additional artists works alongside him so the line keeps moving.

Planning
How live caricature drawing works at your event
The artist arrives early, sets up at a table, and starts drawing as soon as guests are ready. Each guest sits for a few minutes, watches their caricature take shape, and walks away with the finished 11×17 drawing.
Black-and-white caricatures are the fastest option — about 12–15 guests per hour per artist. Adding spot color gives drawings extra pop at about 10–12 guests per hour. To estimate how many artists you need, divide your expected number of guests by the hourly rate and the number of hours you're booking.
Place the artist where people gather
Near the bar, buffet or entrance works best — watching the drawings is part of the entertainment.
Start once guests have arrived
Beginning 20–30 minutes into the event keeps a steady line without a rush at the door.
